Highlander Cottage – Klimkówka Zakopane



Please read the rules and policies in place at our property. Doing so will help both parties avoid misunderstandings and allow us to focus on providing you with a comfortable and pleasant stay.


1. The highlander cottage operates in the field of accommodation and tourism services.

2. Clients using the services of "Highlander Cottage Klimkówka" agree to comply with the provisions of these terms and conditions, health and safety regulations, and fire safety rules, as well as follow staff instructions in exceptional situations.

3. We are not liable for any damages resulting from the client's failure to comply with the rules and regulations.

4. A rental agreement is concluded upon payment of a deposit of up to 30% of the total booking value within the timeframe specified in the booking confirmation. The deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made less than 30 days before arrival.

5. The deposit will be refunded in full if the service is not provided due to the fault of the property.

6. The deposit will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation by the client. In the case of shortened stay or reduced number of guests, no refunds will be issued.

7. The remaining balance for the stay and the local tourist tax must be paid on the day of arrival, as per the agreed dates, but no later than the following day by 12:00 p.m.

8. Clients of "Highlander Cottage Klimkówka" are required to check in immediately upon arrival with a staff member. To confirm identity, guests must present photo identification (Act of April 10, 1974, on population records and identity cards, Journal of Laws of 2001 No. 87, item 960). We do not share any personal data of registered guests with third parties.

9. Check-in time is from 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

10. Quiet hours apply between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and must be observed.

11. We are not responsible for any personal belongings left at the property.

12. Guests are financially responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment caused by them. A refundable damage deposit of 1,000.00 PLN is required. It must be paid in advance to the company account with the note “Security Deposit” or during check-in.

13. If damage is discovered after departure (following consultation), the guest will be charged repair costs. Guests will also be charged for lost keys.

14. For fire safety and general safety, it is strictly prohibited to use personal electric appliances (heaters, cookers, gas devices, etc.) not included in the room’s equipment. Chargers and power adapters are allowed.

15. Each guest will receive one large and one small towel, in addition to the bed linen prepared for the reserved number of guests.

16. The following is prohibited in the property:

  • Inviting and hosting non-registered guests without the owner’s consent,
  • Behaviors commonly considered indecent,
  • Walking in ski boots indoors and storing ski equipment in the rooms.


Smoking (cigarettes, cigars) is only allowed in designated areas. Violation of this rule will result in the loss of the damage deposit.
17. Pets are not accepted. Guests traveling with animals are advised to use local pet hotels: http://hoteldlazwierzatgawra.pl/ and https://pufikhotel.pl/

18. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation to persons:

  • Under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
  • Who behave aggressively or use vulgar language.

19. Persons violating the terms and conditions will be required to leave the property without a refund.

20. Guests are expected to leave the cottage tidy upon departure.

21. Personal belongings left behind will be returned at the guest’s expense to the address provided. If no instructions are received, items will be stored for one month and then discarded.

22. Any complaints or objections regarding the quality of services should be reported no later than 24 hours after check-in. Complaints submitted on the day of check-out will not be considered. We are not responsible for inconveniences caused by reasons beyond our control (e.g., power or water outages).

23. These terms and conditions are in effect as of January 1, 2019.
